DOGE Claims $55B to Offset $4T in New Debt [1]

Do Republicans understand orders of magnitude? Or just that 55 is more that 4?
Oh, and it’s not $55B. Looks more like $8.5B.
And $4T is only a down payment on the Trump 2.0 promises. Maybe half. Save $8.5 Billion here, then borrow $4 Trillion there, and declare victory.
This “savings,” so far, is much less than a penny on the dollar of new borrowing. And for so much pain. Air traffic controllers, forest rangers, firefighters.
They’re auditing the penny tray while the the vault is being raided.
The effort is entirely meaningless in value, unless pain is your goal. It is a pointless distraction whilst your pocket is picked. Nothing more.
