Impeachment is back on the table after all ..... for judges who ruled against Trump, that is [1]

I haven’t seen this posted yet but if so, my apologies for the redundancy.

Well, it really should come as no surprise to me by now, but they still somehow manage to shock me by their absolute lack of integrity, respect for the rule of law or the way our government is set up to function, and their contempt for— and attempts to overturn — any judicial or electoral outcome they don’t like. Any at all.

By ‘they’ of course, I’m referring to the treasonous, seditious, chickenshit and morally bankrupt, coup-supporting elected members of the Republican Party in Congress and elsewhere.

The latest example of their contempt for the very fundamental checks and balances that’s the core of our constitution-based government?

Articles of impeachment that House Republicans ( Reps. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) and Eli Crane (R-IL) plan to introduce against judges who had the gall to rule against the treasonous convicted felon and coup leader-in-chief’s lawless actions in recent weeks. One of these sedition-lovers is targeting U.S. District Court Judge John J. McConnell Jr., who ordered the administration to lift its federal spending freeze. The other articles will be aimed at District Court Judge Paul Engelmayer, who blocked DOGE from accessing Treasury records.

Now, these articles are going to be introduced by two treasonous clowns, two anti-American, democracy-hating Trump tongue bathers who are a stain on the People’s House, and an embarrassment to an grade school civics teacher. Rep. Clyde is a peach, a member of the Freedom Caucus who is best known for his rabid opposition to gun control (among other gems, he resisted the introduction of metal detectors in the House). I vaguely recall that he also tried (but failed) to look all manly as his people tried to break into the House chamber and kill his Vice President on January 6. Crane is also a member of the Freedom Caucus — a former Navy Seal who apparently doesn’t know a damn thing — or give a shit — about how our government, you know, works.

To be clear, these unpatriotic cowards are not serious people. They are right-wing nuts, and the articles will go nowhere. They won’t pass the House, and they won’t come remotely close to passing the Senate.

But it’s just the latest exhibit of how far this entire treasonous GOP has debased itself and how much hatred and contempt they have for our democracy, our rule of law, and our institutions.
