Itzl Alert Network: Tuesday, 18th of February, 2025: More Flipping in the House [1]

['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.']

Date: 2025-02-17

Okay, this week, I plan to plow ahead with posting all the red seats in the House.

Seats we need to flip, somehow.

The little dog is named Itzl. As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at, to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wildfires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off Daily Kos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on Daily Kos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care! IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news! This is our current schedule of regular IAN diary writers: Monday: Youffraita Tuesday: bigjacbigjacbigjac Wednesday: Pam from Calif Thursday: art ah zen Friday: FloridaSNMOM Saturday: FloridaSNDad Sunday: loggersbrat

Last week I got as far as Nebraska.

I got some encouragement from Tippy and Dad:

It's a team effort; we're all doing it! Keep on with your project of posting all the red seats so we can see and comment here.

Okay!

Last week it was Florida that wore me out.

This week it was Texas.

Too many red seats in Texas.

I lived in Texas, in the Houston area, from 1989 to 1999.

During part of that time, the Governor was a Democrat, and a woman (Ann Richards).

And the mayor of Houston was a Democrat and a woman (I do not recall her name).

And the Chief of Police was a woman, and she was pregnant, and she gave birth to her baby during the time she was serving as Chief of Police.

(Police Chiefs usually do not declare a party, but she seemed like a Democrat to me.)

Texas is simply not totally red.

Last week, I posted the red seat that represents me, and my neighbors in Wichita, Kansas.

Ron Estes.

Do you think I should call him, and advise him to switch parties?

He seems like a nice guy, so I could say:

You seem like a nice guy. Trump and Musk are not acting nice, not at all. So, simply switch parties. The Democratic Party is the party of nice folks. You can join with Jasmine Crockett and AOC and Hakeem Jeffries. Together, we can Make America Nice Again. Ha!

Well, call your House member, if you like, and give them advice.

Hugs!

Hey, I just saw this on the MSNBC YouTube channel:

And this one:

And this one, showing how foolish the Trump/Vance folks are to suggest pulling out of NATO:

Step by step, we Democrats can flip the House.

Hugs.
