I live over a hundred miles from our state capital, Phoenix. My tiny unincorporated town has no city hall. But the nearest city, Cottonwood, does. I've seen no mention of a protest being planned for Cottonwood tomorrow. I'm going anyway.

I might be the only person there. Standing on the Main Street sidewalk with my poorly painted sign. I'm going anyway. I don't anticipate any problems. It could happen, but if it does it won't be me instigating it. I plan to just stand there quietly for an hour or two. Me and my crummy protest sign. Exercising my 1A rights.
