I haven’t seen much written yet, on DK, about the 50501 movement, and honestly, it’s a bit late for this next call-out, for tomorrow, President’s Day, wherever you live. But it’s there, and it won’t be the last of these. Stay frosty, stay in touch, and let people know we can organize for when the time comes that we need to demonstrate — in the streets — just how much of an electoral minority MAGA really is, very likely even where you live. That time will come, let’s be ready for when it does.
Because MAGA are a minority of voters in this nation, looking to turn back the past 60-90 years of social and economic progress; and that has managed to masquerade as a legislative majority in Congress and roughly half the states in the Union where Republicans control the state legislature, but only through the exploitation of a longstanding electoral subterfuge, that was only possible on this scale thanks to the digital technology that makes it possible.
But when push comes to shove, they can’t back it up with numbers.
That’s where 50501 comes in.
