Dictator On Day One [1]

Remember when Trump said he would only be a dictator on Day One to Sean Hannity? He listed only two reasons for being one. Close the border and drill, drill, drill. After that, he would no longer be a dictator. That was back in December of 2023.
His promise seems to have changed somewhat.
The January 20th avalanche of Executive Orders did way more than close the border and set fossil fuel goals, it also created the worst non-government, government agency ever conceived.
Department of Government Efficiency sounded like a great title for something that everyone wanted: Eliminating waste of taxpayer dollars. How could that go wrong?
Well, it has gone wrong and now we have two dictators instead of just one. Neither is going to give up their power without court action. What happens if court orders are ignored? Nothing, unless judges issue contempt of court orders and warrants for arrest. That's it.
The Trump Administration is already ignoring court orders. So is DOGE and Musk.
There are 68 cases against Trump, Musk and DOGE, showing on Just Security's Litigation Tracker.
Judge Chutkan is doing her best to allow many states to stop DOGE from accessing data and other actions. The states have till 5:00 p.m. today to propose a order stopping DOGE actions.
The constitutionality of the creation of the agency is also being challenged.
Removing one dictator, Musk, would be a good start.
Then we are left with only Trump.
Trump broke his original promise of only being a dictator for day one. He's also broken everything else, not just his promises.
The damage that has already been done will take forever to repair. I hope we have a chance to do it.
