Article in today’s Ukrainska Pravda: VP Vance at Munich Security Conference Excerpt:
“The core of Vance’s speech focused on denouncing the EU’s policies on countering fake news and propaganda. Vance began by stating that from the US perspective, there is no longer a shared democratic vision between the two sides of the Atlantic. "For years, we’ve been told that everything we fund and support is in the name of our shared democratic values," he said, before arguing that for the new US administration, European values are no longer relevant, as European anti-propaganda measures, in his view, restrict freedom of speech.”
So, we will abandon our allies of 70 years because they block the propaganda that lied the UK out of the EU, made Hungary an oligarchy and is well on its way to making the United States another. To those behind this administration, democracy isn’t democracy unless it can be bought.
Our billionaires may get their fiefdoms, but once the rent-seekers completely commercialize our administrative, legal, military and intelligence/security organizations, Putin or his successor will remain. And he will ask for more, and uncooperative US nobility will learn about open windows.
