I Am A Blue Voter In That Moocher Red State [1]

I’m just gonna get my immediate reaction to that post out of the way first: If you have nothing but insults for people who are ON YOUR SIDE and outnumbered? You can f*ck all the way off. I don’t care WHO you are.

THIS is why we keep losing elections. Stop the infighting and name-calling and IGNORANT assumptions.

In my job I work on organ transplant documentation. People come from all over the country and the world to receive transplants at UAB. Cutting their funding will not only cost jobs, it will cost lives. Saying the people who depend on these services asked for this, when they may not even live in Alabama, makes you no better than a MAGA asshole.

This will also have an effect on the number of doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals who study at UAB. Those people do not necessarily stay in Alabama once they graduate, but may in fact bring their expertise to blue states. Having fewer qualified medical professionals benefits no one, in any state.

770,000 Alabamians voted for Kamala Harris. I am one of them. I have never voted Republican once, since I started voting in 1990. I have argued with my right-wing family about these issues for years. Blue folks are outnumbered in red states, but that doesn’t mean we don’t exist. And yet I get called ignorant by people who clearly have never even been here and have no idea what they’re talking about.

You say you oppose MAGA’s agenda? Prove it. Stop talking just like them.
