PWB Peeps Open Thread: One Dam Thing After Another [1]

Beavers are great ecological engineers. They create wetlands and promote biodiversity.
They just saved a town millions in dam construction costs while the council was still dithering. They put the dams right where the people were planning to, and did it better.
They can chew through good sized saplings.
The object, from their point of view, is to create deep water in which to build their lodge for safely raising a family.
