Dear New Yorkers, a Plea for You to Write Gov. Kathy Hochul and Demand the Removal of Eric Adams [1]

This short, call to action, diary is directed specifically at fellow New Yorkers, from Brooklyn, to Manhattan, to Queens, to the Bronx, and even…. Staten Island. Today our President, a 34 times convicted felon, dropped all charges (details here at NPR) without prejudice to Mayor Eric Adams, a man who was facing serious charges of bribery and corruption and a man who has lost the confidence, long ago, of the denizens of our great city. What this means is that Trump released Adams to do his bidding because Adams can have the charges against him brought back at any time soley on Trump’s behest.
Governor Kathy Hochul has the power to remove Adams but has resisted doing so out of fear of political backlash within the state. It is time for her to change that position and replace Mayor Adams with a competent leader not uner the thumb of a man that overtly wants to do our city harm… both in general but specifically to our most vulnerable immigrant communities. This has moved from New Yorkers enduring an awful mayor under a cloud felonies, to a city now under the possibility of direct harm from that mayor. Governor Hochul has the power to protect our city from Trump and must do so. So please, call or write her office to ask her to replace Adams as soon as possible, you or your neighbor’s life might be prevented from being turned upside down.
