Here is a letter I just sent to Chris Murphy:

Dear Senator Murphy - Thank you for your leadership in trying to move the Democratic party away from the Pelosi model and toward the future. We need to be electing more people like AOC and Maxwell Frost to Congress and we need more Senators like you who understand the need for economic populism. Frankly, Nancy Pelosi was an excellent leader under Biden and Obama, but she is the wrong person to lead us into the future. I'm 66 yo and if our party doesn't win back Congress in 2026 (and the Presidency in 2028) the Elites will be guilty of Democricide. We can't have business as usual and just tweak the message. No more money to Dem politicians unless they agree with you. Don’t be bashful. Buck the leaders and you will earn a grateful and large following.

I implore all DK readers and writers to unite and stop sending cash donations to octogenarians! Even people like Adam Schiff are too old for more than one term (full disclosure, I’m a year older than him, and I know I’m too old to be a sitting member of Congress). He should be seeking and mentoring his replacement right now.

Make them (Pelosi et al.) feel the heat for causing us to lose our country to Trumpism. This is not a game!

Let the retired Octogenarians fume for a while and then let them sigh and realize they must vote for Progress (because voting for Republicans is unconscionable) — just like we have been sighing for years waiting for the old guard to fade away so we could get some progressive leadership in there.

And Chris Murphy is focusing on the right stuff — economics. That is the only issue that matters. We don’t need to fight against the other half of voters (i.e. purple/red ones) on the border or any other RWTP. Just be silent on those and talk about (a) the economy and (b) how we are going to tax the billionaires.
