For too long, America’s immigration system has been used as a political football, with extremist politicians using fear and misinformation to divide the country. Meanwhile, working people—including immigrants—continue to suffer from a broken system that fuels exploitation, weakens border security, and allows fentanyl and firearms to flow unchecked.
Gay Valimont is committed to fixing immigration the right way: with a secure, humane, and economically sound approach. She knows that our economy depends on both border security and a fair pathway to citizenship, and she supports real solutions instead of partisan grandstanding. Her plan ensures that America remains safe while upholding our values and strengthening our workforce.
1. Pass the Bipartisan Border Bill & Fully Fund It
For years, politicians have played games with border security—either using it as a talking point while refusing to act or promoting cruel policies that violate human rights. Now, a bipartisan border bill offers a real, workable solution, and Gay Valimont fully supports passing and funding it.
This bill would:
• Strengthen border security with modern technology, more personnel, and better infrastructure.
• Keep fentanyl and other illicit drugs out by increasing enforcement against traffickers.
• Ensure refuge seekers are treated with dignity, ending inhumane detention practices while streamlining legal immigration processes.
Extremist Republicans like to claim they care about border security, but they refuse to pass real solutions because they benefit politically from the crisis. Valimont will fight to actually get it done—no games, just results.
2. Stop Fueling the Cartels
One of the biggest drivers of violence at the border is the illegal arms trade. While certain politicians talk tough about fighting crime, they turn a blind eye to the fact that U.S. weapons manufacturers and smugglers are arming the very cartels responsible for drug trafficking and violence.
Valimont will push for stronger enforcement against illegal arms sales to cartels. That means:
• Cracking down on American companies and individuals who illegally export firearms.
• Expanding oversight to prevent U.S.-made weapons from falling into criminal hands.
• Strengthening international cooperation to dismantle the networks that traffic guns and drugs.
If we’re serious about fighting crime and protecting communities on both sides of the border, we must stop the U.S. gun trade from fueling cartel violence. Valimont won’t let the gun lobby stand in the way of real action.
3. Create an Immediate Pathway to Citizenship for Dreamers
Dreamers—undocumented immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children—know no other home. They go to school here, work here, and many even serve in the military. Yet, they’ve been forced to live in legal limbo due to political inaction.
Gay Valimont supports an immediate and permanent pathway to citizenship for Dreamers. It’s not just the moral thing to do—it’s also good for our economy.
• Dreamers contribute over $40 billion to the U.S. economy each year and are essential to industries like healthcare, education, and technology.
• Many Dreamers serve in the military and as first responders—yet they remain at risk of deportation.
• Polls show that the vast majority of Americans—Republicans and Democrats alike—support giving Dreamers citizenship.
While Republicans continue to block immigration reform to use Dreamers as a political bargaining chip, Valimont will fight to protect their rights and allow them to fully contribute to our nation.
A Common-Sense, Pro-Worker Immigration Policy
Gay Valimont’s immigration plan is about doing what’s right for America’s workers, economy, and safety. Instead of fear-mongering and inaction, she will push for real solutions:
Stronger Border Security without cruelty.
Stopping Cartel Violence by cracking down on illegal gun sales.
A Clear Path to Citizenship for Dreamers to boost our economy and workforce.
Unlike extremists who use immigration to divide us, Valimont knows that a secure and functional immigration system benefits everyone—from working families to business owners to law enforcement officers on the front lines. She will bring real leadership to Congress and get the job done.
It’s time to fix immigration the right way. Let’s elect Gay Valimont and make it happen.
