Security Clearance Hit List [1]

If you believe The New York Post, there are a bunch of people getting security clearances yanked beside Joe Biden.

Antony Blinken Letitia James Alvin Bragg Jake Sullivan Lisa Monaco Andrew Weissman Marc Zaid Norm Eisen

Some names you might not recognize.

There's also the 51 laptop deniers who signed a letter that they believed that Hunter Biden's laptop was most likely a Russian gambit. Trump yanked their security clearances on January 20th, the day of his inauguration. He called the executive order, "Holding Former Government Officials Accountable For Election Interference And Improper Disclosure Of Sensitive Governmental Information." Quite a mouthful. Election interference. One of Trump's favorite phrases. It justifies so much that he can do in its name. I can't figure out what he means by "improper disclosure of sensitive governmental information."

So while the list of the 51 are named in the order, I decided to see if I could find out what the improper disclosure was. After a while, going through the order, John Bolton wrote a book which Trump said was rife with classified information. That was it. Bolton was the whole subject of that part of the executive order.

The irony of trump talking about the dangers of disclosing classified information is colossal.

"The signatories willfully weaponized the gravitas of the Intelligence Community to manipulate the political process and undermine our democratic institutions."

Gravitas. If it wasn't obvious before, it's obvious now. Trump didn't write this in a million years.

"This fabrication of the imprimatur of the Intelligence Community to suppress information essential to the American people during a Presidential election is an egregious breach of trust reminiscent of a third world country."

Imprimatur. I had to look that one up. "A person's acceptance or guarantee that something is of a good standard." Suppressing information needed for the American people to make a decision is what he was convicted for with 34 felonies.

"It is the policy of the United States that individuals who hold government security clearances should not use their clearance status to influence U.S. elections."

Can we say, Donald Trump? He did everything he could to twist elections around in his direction.

Trump is also going to go after anyone associated with the 51 people who signed the Biden laptop letter.

The ramifications for Leticia James and Alvin Bragg is that they will no longer be able to enter Federal courthouses and prisons, law enforcement facilities in Foley Square in lower Manhattan, the Jacob Javits Federal Building which houses the FBI field office, and they will also not be able to set foot in the US Attorney's offices in Southern and Eastern Districts in New York and Manhattan. That's according to the New York Post.

Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco handled January 6th case against Trump.

Andrew Wiseman was part of the Mueller team investigating Trump's Russian collusion in the 2016 election. He's also a frequent panelist on MSNBC. Those make him persona non grata.

Mark Zaid was the lawyer for the whistleblower of the call between Trump and Zelensky that resulted in Trump's first impeachment.

There are multiple things that Trump could hate John Eisman about, including a bar complaint against John Eastman and an ethics complaint against Jenna Ellis.

Jake Sullivan of course was a National Security Advisor to President Biden.

Antony Blinken is another no brainer. He was Biden's Secretary of State. Trump just said he didn't trust the guy. And that was all he needed.

Revoking security clearances is one thing Trump could do immediately after taking office. Creating bogus cases to indict individuals will take longer, but I'm sure Attorney General Pam Bondi is hard at work on them.

Now if we could just revoke Trump's security clearance, the world would be right. Except he doesn't have a security clearance because he is the president. Doesn't need one. What would an FBI background check on him turn up, I wonder...
