Perjury before Congress is a Crime. [1]

18 U.S.C. section 1746 PERJURY

Democrats in every senate confirmation hearing should tell EVERY trump nominee the following:

18 U.S.C. Section 1746 defines PERJURY as any lie spoken in sworn testimony before congress. We acknowledge that the trump DOJ will do nothing if you lie, BUT WE WILL. If you lie to this committee you can be Guaranteed that Jan 21 2029 we till indict you for Perjury and you WILL be arrested and tried for Perjury. We will have had 4 years to check everything you say and we will KNOW if you lie. The Democrats in congress will refer every trump nominee who lies for prosecution.

The penalty for Perjury before congress is 10 years in federal prison and/or $10,000 fine.
