AN APPEAL TO SOMEONE WITH MORE MONEY THAN I HAVE Which Is Pretty Much Everybody [1]

We are coming up on that time of year which I call Too Much Basketball Season.
In a few weeks, the news will be filled with accounts of the NCAA, The NBA, The WNBA and anything else that has anything to do with basketball.
Millions of Americans will be glued to their sets to watch their teams chase each other around the court trying to get that ball through that hoop and win, I’m not sure what. (I lost interest in basketball when I graduated from college.)
This would be an excellent time to run some ads on TV, explaining what Trump, Musk and all their friends are up to. What this is doing to the country. What this will do to the country and what they can do to stop it.
These ads should be suitably patriotic, featuring a flapping flag, a soaring eagle and, if possible, a disabled veteran.
The message should be that Trump and company’s plans are un American. They are against everything our ancestors struggled, fought and died for. They are, generally very bad ideas.
These ads should air during basketball games, which are popular and are about to be plentiful on the various networks, and are extremely popular, especially among people who would vote for Republicans.
I’m sure there are some people out there, who can afford to make some TV commercials, and buy some airtime. I regret that none of these people are me. I hope at least one of them reads this. Because this is an excellent idea.
While they’re at it, maybe they could run a few of the ads during the equally popular award shows. The Oscars are coming up, aren’t they? I’m one of the few people who doesn’t watch the Oscars.
Trump is destroying our democracy.
People don’t seem to mind, because gas is $3.45 a gallon and eggs are $5.50 a dozen.
Neither commodity will be any cheaper under a dictatorship.
This is the message people need to hear.
