What Republicans believe, Feb. 2025 edition [1]

So, according to YouGov, over half of Republicans believe that the COVID vaccine is the deadliest ever created, the FBI agents who investigated Jan 6 should be fired, and we should rename the Gulf of Mexico. 4 out of 10 Republicans think vaccines cause autism and a whopping three out of 4 support putting illegal immigrants into concentration camps.

With numbers like these, no wonder the Republican party is, well, the Republican party. This kind of delusion and belief in mis and disinformation took decades to reach this level of metastasis. And it won’t be going away any time soon.

That’s the bad news. The good news is Republican voters are 1/3 of the country. So, as thing go to shit and Americans start feeling the pain, I expect a shift away from the madness. Not from Republicans, mind you. From the rest of America, particularly a good chunk of those that chose the couch every election.
