Two unqualified white guys given BIG Trump "jobs;" sure, why not? [1]

There is so much in the news every day that it is almost impossible to keep up with even half of it; and maybe that's being generous.
The big "stuff" is everywhere.
Trump claimed yesterday, in front of Benjamin Netanyahu (who looked gobsmacked), that he is going to appropriate Gaza, send troops and raze it to the ground, then build the biggest and most beautiful new Gaza the world has ever seen. Okay. Not even remotely legal. And this one seems to be a part of my shiny object theory. Or what Ben Meisalas of Meidas Touch calls the WMD, that is, weapons of mass distraction. Either way, mine or Ben's, we really need to hope this is what it is. Otherwise, we will wind up in another war, and this one may be far worse than anything we faced before in the Middle East.
He wants to totally eradicate the Department of Education. Also not legal.
We know the Treasury has been ransacked. Protests are everywhere. This is a biggie and also not legal.
Trump wants to send American prisoners to El Salvador. Again, broken record here, not legal.
Cabinet picks are making it out of committee. The ones we should be very alarmed about. But, as Rachel Maddow says, "Sure. Why not?"
A wholesale purge of the FBI is going on; and soon to follow will be the CIA. Tongue-in-cheek, what could go wrong? Sheesh.
And meanwhile, smaller stuff is slipping under the radar or receiving scant coverage. No judgment, just the reality of the chaotic s**t show being unleashed on us without surcease. So, doing my small part, here are two very quick stories about two totally unqualified guys, both of them of course white men, being given jobs they shouldn't be permitted to get anywhere near. Never mind the second guy was even at the Capitol and on the grounds there on January 6th. (He claims it is false news; but there is a great deal of evidence that says he is wrong; this evidence includes pictures of him and his now wife on that day and at the Capitol.)
First guy: Darren Beattie. This fella says that it wasn't insurrectionists who bear responsibility for the Jan. 6 attack on our Capitol. Nope. According to him, it was, drum roll, the FBI.
Well, get this: Beattie has been named to a top State Department job--he will now be the acting undersecretary of State for public diplomacy. Jan. 6 conspiracy theory promoter named to a top State Department job . And to put the last cherry on the top; Beattie says white men should be given all these important jobs. Because? Apparently, at least from what I could extract from his nonsense, they are the only ones qualified. Right.
And that second guy? Pete Marocco? Holy cow, but he was on the transition team in December and I'm not sure if this was reported at the time, or at least not widely disseminated.
