Thank you Sen Murphy — here are a few ways we can “rise up” today, right now [1]

Appreciate Senator Chris Murphy’s comments yesterday to NPR.
He is right, not only on the need for the public to “rise up”, but also in saying: “The focus has to be on Republicans right now and why they have been completely and utterly silenced. I do not want all of the pressure to be on Democrats to figure this out when Republicans should care just as much about democracy as Democrats do.”
Eight years ago, I think we all remember there was a lot more pushback from both our leaders and from the people. Aside from contacting my own representatives, I sometimes called key congressional committees, which gives you a direct voice to both Republicans and Democrats. Does a call to a congressional aide matter? Not on its own — but clearly, they need to feel some of the anger and outrage so many Americans are experiencing.

Here’s a form to blow the whistle at the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability… or call them at 202.225.5074 [Chairman James Comer and Ranking D Gerald Connolly]
Hearing from angry citizens can at least let the Rs in charge know that we are watching, and perhaps can strengthen the resolve of D leaders to resist, to know that we are behind them.
