Has Musk stopped any USDA payments? [1]

The US Dept of Agriculture makes a lot of payments to farmers — price support, crop insurance, conservation program incentives, and the like.

According to USDA stats, farmers in my little rural VA county have received an average of $1,200,000 a year over the past 25 years. One guy has his farms in three counties and each farm is set up as a separate entity — that is, My Farm of XXX County, My Farm of YYY County, and My Farm of ZZZ County. He’s sucking in close to a million per year on the three combined.

My county is red through and through, going 70% for Trump and for our Republican Representative as well as Republicans for state and local offices.

I’m waiting for Musk to stop all USDA payments at which time I will write letters to the editors of local and regional papers laughing my ass off and reminding them about FAFO.
