Easy as duck soup: Donald Trump, Jr. follows Dad’s lead and tramples over the law in Italy [1]

News sources such as AP are reporting on how Donald Trump, Jr. illegally went duck hunting, and may even have committed a criminal offense, during a trip to Venice.
The 47-year-old son of the President thereby demonstrates that, just like his Dad, he regards laws and regulations as something to be ignored if it is to his advantage and enjoyment to do so.
It seems that Donnie Jr., dressed in a camouflage outfit and accompanied by some of his buddies, went to a protected nature reserve, a wetland area near the Venice Lagoon, with a hunting rifle and began shooting ducks and geese.
During this hunting expedition, Don Jr. may have broken the law in several respects:
At least one of the ducks that were shot is a curuddy shelduck, a species that is protected in all of Europe.
In Italy, killing a curuddy shelduck is a criminal offense.
The duck and geese massacre took place in a part of the lagoon that is protected under the EU habitat directive.
It is forbidden for foreigners to hunt any type of game in Italy. Hunting is a privilege reserved for Italians only.
This may be a relatively small-scale incident, but it does suggest the basic personality of the Trump scion. Disregard for the law seems to be a trait he inherited from his felon father.
Like father, like son.
