Hope Still Exists [1]

Like many of you, I struggle listening to the news while staying positive. It’s easy fall into the doom and gloom. What keeps me going? Believing that there’s still hope. I still believe we have a chance to save this country. That starts one state at a time. The right has been screaming about states’ rights for years. Fine let’s do states’ rights.
For the state of Virginia, the current house and senate are working together to protect reproductive rights, marriage equality, and restoring voting rights. We have a chance to solidify Virginia as a safe state for all American’s not just a specific demographic. I want to be part of the hope. I want to fight for Virginians to have a life that is more than just surviving.
I keep getting up every day to continue the fight. I won’t lie, I definitely want to stay in bed and pretend everything is fine. I just couldn’t live with myself if I never tried. I want to encourage everyone reading that you shouldn’t give up either. We aren’t past the point of change. We just need to rally together and keep going.
I hope I can be a little encouraging to everyone. We’ve got this!
