Did This Slip In Underneath Everyone's Radar? [1]

I just heard it as a 3 - second blurb on the news, the kind of thing where you might add in a car crash report that the vehicle was a white SUV or some other minor detail. In this case, however, the main topic was Musk and his Minions, and what’s happening under our noses and behind our backs, no justifications needed, no interference allowed, none of our business don’cha know. In furtherance of our ignorance, information is going missing.

Among the pages of information suddenly missing from internet access in government records, census data was mentioned. No biggie, right? Just who we are, names, ages, addresses…. oh yeah, and race. Just 340,000,000 of us, give or take, last I heard.

I’m left wondering about the “take” part. Why do they need this information but we can’t get any of it? With this cadre, I can envision no good explanation. Go ahead, call me paranoid. Because I am, lately. I see only two — for now anyway — reasons behind that action. Neither is good.

First, it’s a way to hunt down recent addresses of “illegals” — in their jargon, but let’s simplify it to anyone with a Hispanic name who just might possibly be accused of crossing the border into the US without the right kind of paperwork or white enough skin. In their sick minds, no further justification needed.

Second, pair this missing information with the crackdown on getting health and science research information to the rest of the country. Remember tRump’s comment that if we didn’t count covid deaths the pandemic wouldn’t be so bad? Remember Florida stopping their count and firing the woman who kept giving it out? Now we can’t track or count bird flu spread, much less it’s possible transition to spreading human-to- human. We also can’t count cases of measles, or a polio resurgence, or whooping cough, or M pox, or……… But hey, that house next door is suddenly for sale, cheap.

Our population is intended to go down. (Go ahead, argue with me about that.) It might be people kicked out across borders, whether they belong where sent or not. It might be that “new” refurbished concentration camp at Gitmo that tRump refers to. It might be a new epidemic or pandemic we’re not warned about. But if we don’t count them, and have no previous base to compare these people to, how can we attribute their disappearances to what’s going on under this administration? If suddenly our population is 280,000,000, how can we prove the damage, affix the blame, understand the scope?

Yes, I’m paranoid. Aren’t you?
