Well, the GOP endgame is Elon Musk ruling America. This was made possible by the Roberts Court, which allowed unlimited spending in campaigns, declared corporations as people, and let a felon do whatever he wants without impunity. This is in no way a compliment to the GOP. They have ceded all authority to a billionaire and an alleged billionaire. Their job is to answer to their master, and be rewarded with unearned accolades and perks.

I forget that JD Vance even exists, sometimes. That is because the vice presidency has been ceded to Trump. Musk is the real President. Yes, the presidency can be bought. The GOP isn’t crying about it because Musk is on their team. Rest assured, if the unions or Hilary Clinton suddenly took over America, they’d be screaming bloody murder. The Roberts Court has essentially allowed any race to be bought. Whoever can raise the most money has a better than good shot of winning.

The GOP ran a millionaire in each of the competitive senator races. They got away with one in Pennsylvannia. Joni Ernst sold her soul to a far-right billionaire, a rapist…I actually count two rapists, including Hegseth. Is Elon paying her money underneath the table?

All the GOP knows how to do is to complete hostile takeovers. They did it to WI in 2010 (14 years later, WI is still trying to rip itself from the GOP clutches. Though, I am sorry Wikler didn’t get DNC chair, I am sure glad he will still be in WI fighting for that state Supreme Court seat). They are doing it in North Carolina by denying a judge a democraticalky-earned seat. They are trying to deny a state assembly seat in MN because they didn’t like the outcome. Power-sharing is not a word the GOP understands.

I am embarrassed that it was so easy for Elon to take over government. I do not think a lawsuit is going to scare him, but he knows a GOP member will not cross him. I have no faith in SCOTUS to stop the GOP, though I do think they will stop DOGE because it is blatantly against the law. They have stopped only the most asinine GOP ideas, like the independent legislature theory. (Their argument will be, if Elon can do this, so can any Democratic billionaire. You wouldn’t like that, now would you)? It is up to Democrats, the courts, the unions, the non-profits, and everyday people to take government from the billionaires.

As my sibling likes to point out: only 1/3 of America voted for this. The other 1/3 voted for someone else. The last 1/3 did not vote at all.

To call out the elephant in the room (pun intended), it is xenophobia, sexism, and racism that helped get Trump elected. The Dems should not drop DEI. In fact, do what the GOP did when they lost the last election. No, do not start a riot. Double-down on their beliefs.

Also, back unions and stop ceding any ground to the GOP. They should be hitting any form of media that isn’t the legacy media. I can tell you the youth aren’t paying attention to them at all.
