Many here have complained about the Democrats not doing enough to push back, call out, attempt to stop what has been happening. We have an answer. Schumer let the cat out of the bag, so to say.
By reading between the lines I’m assuming the strategy is to let Trump screw up to win a majority in the House and the Presidency and Senate in ‘28.
In his latest interview he called Trump’s move “the best thing that’s happened” to Democrats this year
He then went on to say he’s learned some lessons over the past eight years about how to judiciously resist….”We’re not going to fall for the Bannon ‘flood the zone,’” he said, referring to Trump ally Steve Bannon’s call for the president to blitz Democrats with orders and executive-branch maneuvers.
Here’s the bottom line. It’s a ginormous gamble. We all know why. What price is Schumer willing to pay (make us pay) for political power? How can they be so confident that it will only be bad enough to win a couple of elections? When is the point of no return? How much damage is too much?
It seems like the Dems in Congress are having the same internal battles that we’ve all had. An “I told you so” part of them and this is what you voted for and the other part is defending this country.
I think they’ve decided.
