So Did Schumer Make a Deal with republicans to Expedite trump Nominees? [1]

We were on a mass action-oriented Zoom call organized by Indivisible, Working Families Party, Move-On, National Nurses Union and a couple of other organizations.
It was a great call — first speaker was Maxwell Frost who was fantastic! I recommend people watch the recorded version if for nothing else than to listen to him. I am happy as a 76-year-old to learn new ways to think about things from a brilliant and inspiring 28-year-old
But the question in the title comes from something Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin, founders of Indivisible, said. Levin said that Schumer has made a deal with the republicans to expedite the voting for the trump nominees.
I did a search for this and can find nothing about that specifically. Levin is, from everything I know, a great organizer and I’ve never heard that he is unreliable in his information. But we’ve seen other things (here on Daily Kos and elsewhere) critical of the Democrats which end up being out-of-context.
In any case, I don’t want this to turn into a big criticize-the-Democrats fest. Those diaries and comments are useless, a waste of energy. We need to act, not complain.
I’m calling you all to action — instead of whining about the Democrats on Daily Kos
Do Something!
Whether there was a deal or not, please, everyone, especially those who live in the state of NY, call or write Schumer’s office and put pressure on him to shut the Senate down. As Levin said, do what Mitch McConnell did and make everything the trump-puppet republicans want to do take as long as possible. Make it painful for them!
I’m not a New Yorker but I’m going to try to call or write anyway.

And whatever state you’re in — contact your senators, Democrats or republicans, and demand a no on Russell Vought, who is the master”mind” of Project 2025, as OMB Director. Project 2025 is wildly unpopular, point that out!
Will it solve all the problems caused by the orange turd? No, of course not.
But let’s take every action we can to stop the takeover of OUR nation.
Edited Headline: I changed the title from saying the deal was with Thune to with republicans. Levin didn’t mention Thune — I just assumed it was. But Matt Z asked me about it and I realized I hadn’t been careful in what I wrote.
