On January 31, OPM Was Smashed By Elon's Thugs [1]

On January 31, South African Elon Musk and his Corporatist thugs began downloading critical financial and personal information from the Office of Personnel Management on American civil servants. These civil servants include not only current and former employees of the federal government, but their political representatives in the House, Senate, Executive and Judicial branches of our government. When civil servants attempted to stop the rape of our country’s employment records, Musk’s thugs illegally locked them out of the systems. Sofa beds were installed so his illegal army could work around the clock.

While I called Musk a South African, he did become an American citizen in 2002. However, no American citizen either born or naturalized, should have the rights to the information his aides stole, especially not one who was elected to no office by the people. The Corporatist Musk gained power by supplying current President, Donald J. Trump, with a quarter-of-a-billion dollar “donation”, what we, before the onerous Citizens United judgement, might have called a bribe.

Why do I call Musk a Corporatist and not, as he would commonly be called, a Fascist? Because the epithet of fascism has been overused. It is used by Democrats on Republicans and Republicans on Democrats and now has little meaning except to those people who knew what it originally meant. Therefore Corporatism; in his article on fascism for the 1929 edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica, Benito Mussolini wrote: “'Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power.”

If anything describes the state of the U.S. government in 2025, it is the merger of state and corporate power. The tech bros have lined up behind Donald Trump and his fawning Republican Party to undermine the democratic process of the constitutional United States and turn it into a Corporatist state. Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Arthur Sulzberger Jr., ABC-Disney, CBS-Paramount, have lined up like some sort of human centipede to lick the bottoms of Trump and Musk.

And who is going to stop them? As private citizens, we only have power to raise our voices in protest. We need leaders, politicians with votes, Democrats and Independents who are willing to stand up against the incineration of our Constitution and our Constitutional rights.

Perhaps the ragged dream of bipartisanship is still held by some like former Senator Manchin and yes, former President Biden. But there can be no bipartisanship, no compromise with tyranny. What will we tell our grandchildren? “Oh, I made sure the U.S. government stayed only HALF-tyrannical.” Is that the legacy we wish to give to coming generations? It may not matter. The world may soon have become too poisonous for human life by that time if “Drill, Baby, Drill,” remains our only environmental principle.

Some of you are probably saying that this only affects a small portion of our society, the LGBTQ+ community, immigrants, and, although they be not federal employees, undocumented immigrants. But it affects all people of color, all women, all Jews, all Moslems, all Catholics, all Protestants, all Evangelicals, all Atheists, all Democrats and yes, even all Republicans if the data from OPM is held hostage by these unelected swine. All federal security past and present like the FBI, CIA, all our soldiers, sailors, marines, airmen, all members of the Armed Services. And it’s not limited to federal employees. The Social Security system, Medicare and Medicaid are at risk. Being a “straight” white male will not save you. We’re all hostages.

We were too smug. We thought we had the reins of government for the past four years. Or at least the branches we had control of. We thought the Constitution was unbreakable. But a shadow government has had four years to prepare and organize. Donald Trump took “diplomatic missions” even though he had no authority to do so. His, ahem, “alleged” federal crimes went untried and are now ashes in the wind. Project 2025 was written and staffed well before the 2024 election took place. Between November and now, it was simply crowbarred into place. And now it’s standard operating procedures.

And this is the greatest data breach of all time.

I urge all readers of this article to share it. Send it to your representatives in Congress and the Senate. The Democratic Committee. The Senate still has the power of filibuster. Flood Chuck Schumer’s inbox with it. Let them know what they are up against. We cannot fight tyranny alone. We need the people we elected to use their positions to fight for us. Or they will be sucked in as well.
