As of 11:00pm ET, future markets are responding negatively to the imposition of tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China:

Dow Jones — -1.49%

S&P 500 — -2.01%

Nasdaq — -2.64%

Now this affects a lot of people with investments, including those in 401k and IRA accounts. But something likely to affect everyone is what’s happening to energy:

Heating oil — +2.85%

Natural Gas — +8.51%

Unleaded Gasoline — +2.67%

And for those wanting build or buy a new house like those in LA:

Lumber — +1.45%
