Data Breach, Theft and Coup – All in One [1]

Is This the Largest Data Breach in US History
It appears that unauthorized persons who are neither federal employees nor contractors have obtained access to central federal data bases that includes not only personal identifying information like data of birth and SSN, payments, bank account information (for direct deposits) and HIPPAA protected information about medical enrollments. This information is also incredibly valuable for marketing and propaganda targeting. So far, the normal procedures for notifying all possibly affected persons have not been followed. This is serious neglect of what is required of all holders of confidential data when outsiders have been able to access such data.
(Anyone for an immediate class action suit ?)
The federal officials who have allowed or and continue to allow this to occur should be locked up, along with the private individuals who directed, perpetrated and carried out this THEFT.
“Theft” because in addition to harming individuals through identity theft and possible blackmail, this data is of substantial value for marketing purposes, yet has been provided free to (stolen by”) a private group.
And finally it is a culminating act of a coup d'état. Having neutered the federal justice system by decapitating the Department of Justice and FBI, the Musk/Trump cabal are proceeding to decapitate and take over all other administrative and legal branches of government.
Musk is providing the equivalent of Brown Shirts, loosely affiliated muscle outside the normal power and control arrangements. It’s the high tech adaptation of deploying a protected cadre of individuals who have little understanding and less respect for law, regulation and ethics. So far threats of firing seem to be substituting for threats of violence.
And the stolen data will provide for more effective targeting of threats, propaganda and algorithms across the entire population.
In order to restore the rule of law and democracy, the plurality of society will have to mobilize to insist that this situation be reversed, and the perpetrators exiled from the public sphere. It starts with expressing the seriousness and urgency of this destruction of democracy publicly and to our legal representatives, including – and perhaps especially – to those who don’t yet publicly agree with this diagnosis. It also starts with more effective resistance and immediate legal action by affected federal employees. The courts need to be flooded with litigation by the federal employees being victimized.
The tech bros need to understand that they are living on borrowed time: if Musk doesn’t have a falling out with Trump, he will use unfair advantage to take them over. If he does have a falling out with Trump, it doesn’t mean one of them will inherit Musk’s power. Trump prefers ruling through fear — complying in advance only encourages him.
