"It is very clear that, if there is a middle of all of this hot mess of division, Americans want us to work together when we can and find common ground," Sen. Amy Klobuchar tells the Opinion writer Michelle Cottle.

I’m an American. I know a lot of Americans. I don’t know a single one who wants to “work together” with Republicans. When we “reach across the aisle,” they cut off our hand and laugh at us.

Part of the reason we are in this “hot mess of division” is people like Klobuchar.

Why am I even writing letters to editors, speaking in public, talking with Republicans when my party’s leadership is nothing but wimps, halfwits, dumbasses, I-got-my-seat-so-fuck-you traitors who stab us in the back?
