I’ve written about the purges of personnel in the federal government (and likely eventually outside of it). I’ve written about the hostile takeover of a key federal agency by the Muskrat and his minions. It was only a matter of time before the junta attacked the information itself and went into censorship high gear.

It started a couple of nights ago. Many government websites were taken offline by the regime. The most noted ones were the CDC and similar health agencies.

Datasets aggregated on data.gov, the largest repository of U.S. government open data on the internet, are being deleted, according to the website’s own information. Since Donald Trump was inaugurated as president, more than 2,000 datasets have disappeared from the database . As people in the Data Hoarding and archiving communities have pointed out, on January 21, there were 307,854 datasets on data.gov. As of Thursday, there are 305,564 datasets. Many of the deletions happened immediately after Trump was inaugurated, according to snapshots of the website saved on the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine. Harvard University researcher Jack Cushman has been taking snapshots of Data.gov’s datasets both before and after the inauguration, and has worked to create a full archive of the data.

Why is the Demented Dotard doing this? Well, let’s go down the rabbit hole under the fold.

It is clear that Musk and the Tangerine Terror are well on their way to creating the Ministry of Truth for the USA similar to other totalitarian regimes across the planet. If you aren’t familiar with 1984, now is the time to read it. We live in Orwellian times. Orwell was just off by 41 years…

The Ministry of Truth (Newspeak: Minitrue) is the ministry of propaganda. As with the other ministries in the novel, the name Ministry of Truth is a deliberate misnomer because in reality, it serves the opposite: It is responsible for any necessary falsification of historical events. However, like the other ministries, the name is also apt because it decides what "truth" is in Oceania. As well as administering "truth", the ministry spreads a new language amongst the populace called Newspeak, in which, for example, "truth" is understood to mean statements like 2 + 2 = 5 when the situation warrants. In keeping with the concept of doublethink, the ministry is thus aptly named in that it creates/manufactures "truth" in the Newspeak sense of the word. The book describes the doctoring of historical records to show a government-approved version of events.

They are already purging or threatening any semblance of independent media (not that the media have helped themselves by fluffing up the Fanta Fuhrer). World’s smallest violin for them right now, but it is part of a larger trend to replacing anyone that could even be the tiniest bit critical of the regime with toadies and lackeys.

One government agency (the NTSB) has already posted that all communications from here on will just be on Twitter. No e-mails to reporters or news outlets. Twitter is great for a propaganda mouthpiece, along with propaganda outlets like Faux News, OANN, and Newsmax et al. Also, a great way to force traffic to the Muskrat’s dying social media platform, ain’t it?

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) on Saturday said it will stop e-mailing news organizations and reporters with updates about two plane crashes that occurred earlier this week. Moving forward, the federal agency tasked with investigating transportation-related accidents and disasters said news organizations and reporters will have to follow the agency’s official account on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, where “all NTSB updates about news conferences or other investigative information” will be posted moving forward.

Even more independent websites such as Wikipedia are increasingly under attack by the Muskrat and his minions. They really want control of the whole information apparatus. When will any site critical of the new regime be blocked or shut down?

Elon Musk has urged his followers not to donate to Wikipedia, which he branded "Wokepedia," until "they restore balance to their editing authority." The tech billionaire made the claim on X (formerly Twitter), which he owns, in response to another user who shared a graph from the online encyclopedia's 2023-4 annual report that showed 29 percent of its budget had been spent on "equity" and "safety & inclusion." Not content with censoring the present and future, the Ministry of Truth in the Cheeto Caligula regime is now attacking the past as well. Reams of academic papers and journals have an order to be retracted or edited to get in line with the new executive ordures.

Of course, any history that is not part of the 1776 Commission is on the chopping block now as well. Trump has made quite a few executive ordures (which are illegal) targeting teachers and curriculum that does not comply with the 1776 curriculum or making LGBTQ+ citizens unpersons.

Please resist by celebrating these things that the Department of Defense and other federal agencies decided fall under “DEI” or contrary to the education diktats above. This is white supremacy gone wild.

Finally, know your tolerance for doomscrolling. There’s such a fire hose of terrible things happening that it is easy to lose hope. Especially follow this advice because overload is on purpose to get you to become helpless and passive.
