Musk and Minions Rummaging in the Toolshed [1]

I am really concerned about the fact that the Elmo squad is making rapid progress in their project to take control of large portions of the Federal monetary flow, and policies pertaining thereto.

As in, get rid of anyone who has a clue or does their job in good faith. Infiltrate the agencies and institutions they want to control, with young ratcoders, compromised IT personnel, lawyers, and a bad antisocial attitude that does nothing to benefit anyone other than the billionaires who can actually still breathe (so to speak) in these high altitudes.

I think most Kossacks probably understand that the attacks on the GSA, DSA, Treasury IT systems, and other paths for money to flow between the government, its beneficiaries, and its vendors, are a ploy to insert Elmo and his Silicon Gulch buddies into the revenue stream.

Plus, consider some fat bonus surveillance in the whole system — much data to be gathered and fed into AI models, sold to or purchased from data brokers,or just plain sh*tty scams to extract more money from contractors and vendors and plain old internet surfers like you and me.

I do believe that what we are seeing now is an attempt to f*ck existing constraints completely up and divert all flows of Federal money and information through broligarch-controlled entities.

I have some scattered experience with how money flows in the Federal and state procurement and contracting ecosystems. I may get into that in a future post.

But for now, I’ll just say I’m terrified by what these vandals and looters and criminals have been capable of putting into place, in just a handful of days since the inauguration. With supine complicity of Federal, state, and local Republicans all over the map.

*Sigh* Duck and cover, y’all.
