Dems should follow teachings of Muhammad Ali [1]

The pundits and politicians are all saying that the Democrats need to find ways to slow Trump down. That’s exactly wrong. They need to follow Mohammad Ali’s strategy when he fought George Foreman in 1974. Foreman was bigger, stronger, and younger, but Ali was smarter. He came up with a strategy called rope-a-dope, which was to stay on the ropes while he let Foreman pound him round after round. The ropes, which were loosed by Ali’s team , helped absorb some of the blows, but Ali took a ferocious pounding. At least until Foreman exhausted himself. In the 8th round, Foreman kept punching and Ali kept taking it until Foreman was done, and then a rested Ali knocked him out pretty easily. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nE0NU2No0yc&t=214s)

This is what the Democrats should do. Trump et al are everything, everywhere, all at once. They are creating havoc, but they can’t keep this pace up. Moreover, the many moves they are making will certainly hurt many Trump voters. Sure, some will stick with him, but when you need to rely on a system that the person you voted for broke, you can turn against him quickly. The worst thing the Democrats can do is to slow Trump up because that will slow his downfall. They need to absorb the blows of one punch after another until Trump’s actions have exhausted the majority of voters; and then hit back hard, starting with taking back the House in 2026. Frankly, Ali was smarter than all of the current Democrats, at least when it comes how to win with a weaker hand, and they need to follow his lead. Just my opinion of course.
