This is, I think, the first time we’ve done the show under the cloud of a domestic commercial airline disaster. There much more rare than mass shootings, of course. We barely even notice the cloud from those, any more.
In more “normal” news, it’s now just 44 days until the next time government funding expires. If you don’t the shutdown we’re in right now. But by the way, if you’re a federal employee intrigued by the idea of an early retirement buyout, please do keep in mind that all funding, frozen or not, runs out again in six weeks.
Meanwhile, just 1,451 days left before we find out whether Trump thinks he can stay in office. If he’s, you know, still there.
It’s time Greg Dworkin to wrap up for the weekend. And it looks like I’ll be out on Friday now, too. So let’s try to jam two shows in today! Shall we?
