In electrical engineering, resistance is a measure of the opposition to the flow of current in an electrical circuit.

Resistance is measured in “Ohms” as represented by the symbol above (interestingly, “Ohm” is also considered by some to be the sound of the universe, an expression of reality and truth).

Symbols like the “Ohm” can be powerful because they can create a sense of shared meaning. In social movements, symbols can be especially meaningful for individuals and groups experiencing fear and uncertainty. Symbols can also help people understand complex ideas and make sense of the world around them.

I believe I will use the “Ohm” symbol frequently over the next four years when I communicate with peers, colleagues and fellow resistors regarding the chaotic flow of negative energy and madness that we see unfolding around us. I wanted to invite this community to consider using these symbols to develop a sense of unity and power.
