This will be very short which will upset the content police complaining about short articles. But... as Edward Albee said, “The length of play should precisely be whatever is right for that play.”
Meaning I’m happy to write longer things when I’m writing about something that has ideas that should be developed and explored. But sometimes the message is simple and well… short.
In this case it happens to be good news. And we need good news. We need to know we can win this fight or else despair takes over and fuck that. I want to keep my country, because despite all it’s flaws I actually love it very much.
So hopefully that was enough fluff for anyone inclined to complain about content. Now here is the news: Ice seems to be pausing its tip line. Now I just saw this from users breaking the news on BlueSky, but I saw it in several places and so I decided to call and check myself.
When I did, I got a recording that said my call was very important, please wait, then abruptly said, use the webform and hung up on me.
Now this was very distressing , as a good citizen I wanted to report a Crazed Neo Nazi that is here illegally from South Africa, along with a hooker from Slovenia living on Pennsylvania Ave with her anchor baby. Sadly I was unable.
Anyway, apparently these valid tips have caused problems with some claiming 90% of the calls were from people reporting Elon Musk. Which was a bit of relief, I was worried that no one else shared my worry about these lawbreakers. As you know Countries don’t send us their best.
Anyway, it seems the webform is still open were one inclined to report anything.

My advice, don’t do this from work. Wait until you get home, if you also want to report any suspicious people lurking about the halls of twitter.
in terms of protection for the vulnerable, This fine Gentleman had some advice that seemed rather good.
