To my senators, re: RFK Jr [1]

I live in a MAGA state, so I don’t expect this to do any good. But it seemed like it might be worth sharing as a starting point for anyone who lives in a swing state with an R senator or two:
RFK Jr is an anti-science anti-medicine mad man. He wants to throw out around 170 years of progress, starting with pasteurized milk.
If he had been in charge in 2020, we'd still be waiting on a COVID vaccine, and the American death toll would be in the tens of millions.
This is not an abstract hypothetical: bird flu is starting to kill people. There's a very real danger that it will evolve to jump between human hosts.
It does not matter what he says under oath. It's blatantly obvious that sworn statements from Trump nominees are valid only until they're confirmed.
Donald Trump has made it very clear that he wants to turn America into a dictatorship. The only reason he didn't succeed last time around was that there were adults in the room to push back against his worst instincts. People like RFK Jr, Pete Hegseth, Tulsi Gabbard, and Dr. Oz (another nominee who should be denied) will egg him on and make him worse.
The Senate is our only line of defense against these horrible choices.
Please take your job, oath, and duty seriously. Vote no.
