Trump Offends Everyone - .GOV Websites Dissappear [1]

Trump's Whitehouse.gov website is dark and disturbing. Trump's executive orders and news about them are almost all of the site. The options are:
News A. Remarks B. Briefings and Statements C. Presidential Actions D. Articles Administration Issues And a search utility
But you won't get it in Spanish. At first, users got the omnious black Error 404 with a button that said, "GO HOME." Really appropriate to tell Hispanics they're not welcome. They should have known that. Later, they did fix it, and then it said, "Go To Home Page."
"Administration" is just Donald, JD, Melania, Usha, and an explanation that the Cabinet is authorized by Article II Section II of the Constitution.
But if you try to go to the Constitution that used to be there, you get the dreaded Error 404.
On Biden's website, there was a detailed explanation of the Constitution's creation and the purposes of the Amendments.
"News" on Trump's site on Thursday included what is euphemistically called a "Readout of President Donald J. Trump Call with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman." You would expect a transcript of the call. Nope.
The two leaders discussed efforts to bring stability to the Middle East, bolster regional security, and combat terrorism.
Then it went on to say how we're going to be exchanging money back and forth, providing mutual prosperity.
There's also the unconditional pardons for Andrew Zavabsky and Terence Sutton, convicted of second-degree murder after the George Floyd riots. Besides all the Jan.6th pardons, including the one(s) who bear-sprayed a Capitol Policeman who died of heart attacks the next day, and the four other who died suicide, Trump is pardoning actual convicted killers. Great news, Don. You can also find it under "Presidential Actions." There is a lot of cross duplication.
There is a search field. I put in "SPANISH," and I got the executive order calling for Mt. Denali to be renamed Mt. McKinley. Why it went there is because of McKinley waging the Spanish-American war. It's not something to be proud of unless you're Trump.
Put in "classified documents" in search, and you get the executive order:
"Holding former government officials accountable for election interference and improper disclosure of sensitive government information"
J6 - no results found. Jan.6th- no results found. January 6 - and you get 3 pages of executive orders and the pardons for all the criminals.
Reproductiverights.gov gives you this Error 404:
It's totally gone. Just like Trump and his minions to remove it so people can't get information on how their rights have been taken away.
The White House Office of Gun Violence Protection is also completely gone. Erased. We don't need to ask why.
The Department of Labor page on LBGTQ workers and their rights is gone. Seeing how one of Trump's executive orders said there are only two sexes, male and female, it's also not hard to figure out.
The Office of Personal and Management page on DEI initiatives has been deleted. Again, another of a series of Trump's executive orders removing DEI from the federal government. I think he did one for the military, too. If he hasn't, he will. The page for DEI Officers is also gone.
Going to the National Institute of Food and Agriculture page for DEI gives you an "access denied" and says the content is no longer available or restricted.
The Defense Information Systems Agency's page on DEI is gone. Here's an archived copy of it.
If you go to Data.gov and you search for abortion or DEI, or LGBTQ, nothing comes up.
Next, I tried the Freedom of Information Act website, FOIA.gov. I put in abortion, and it hung forever on ...Loading.... Same thing for DEI. Actually for anything I searched for. The search function may be blocked instead of showing no results.
Govinfo.gov. Searching on abortion got me 4 pages on all the bills introduced on Congress restricting abortion before there was a listing of Chuck Schumer talking about abortion. Searching on DEI brought up negative items first until there was a DEI wrestling team at a high school. I'd say the site hasn't been messed with yet, but maybe the search algorithm has.
Science.gov still works. So does Trade.gov.
HHS.gov works, and it's being updated with the California fires at the top of the home page, but if you search for DEI, you get garbage. You can still search on abortion. They still have an office called Equal Opportunity and Strategic Engagement and Partnerships. It's a disguised way of saying DEI.
Here's an index of all US .gov web sites on USA.GOV.
The CFPB, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is there. But there's no link to their enforcement actions. That link is here. It appears that the pages have been modified, so you can't find it. They could have just erased it.
You can still find tons of abortion information on FDA.gov.
Voa.gov, Voice of America, hasn't been touched.
A DEI page at the National Science Foundation was there on Wednesday according to Newsweek, but it's gone now with the dreaded Error 404.
The Department of Education doesn't even try to hide that they've eliminated DEI.
The Department of the Interior still has a complete DEI page up.
The State Department's DEI page has bit the dust.
Digital.gov's page for DEI is gone. This agency tells and helps other agencies with website design.
As expected the Secret Service DEI webpage brings up access denied.
The Federal Register DEI page is still up. On the first page they talk about it starting in 2021.
Apprenticeship.gov takes you a password protected page. I think it's just already gone.
The Department of Commerce's DEI page is gone.
The Federal Trade Commission doesn't even try to hide that they've ended DEI.
The Government Accountability Office still has their DEI page up.
Trump's crew even had to get rid of it at the United States Patent and Trademark office.
In 30 days all of these DEI pages that are still working will be gone. Trump has made it clear that DEI is going to be erased from every single government agency in operations and in hiring.
Some people have already found a way to fight back. The Office of Personnel Management sent out a memo telling employees to snitch on each other to report "efforts by some in government to disguise these programs by using coded or imprecise language." Then they threatened "adverse consequences" on those who didn't turn in their fellow workers
OPM set up an email tip line at
[email protected]. and the internet responded by flooding it with spam. Social media sites had discussions of different ways to do it, like signing up the email to porn websites, reporting Trump's nominees as "unqualified" DEI hires. As an example:
They are having fun being creative in their attacks.
An OPM spokesperson declined to comment on whether a wave of spam to the email account had affected its operation.
Eliminating complete websites like Reproductive Rights is blatant censorship.
Trump, of course, pledged with his executive order that censorship would be ended in the United States. He's just disguising his actions as eliminating woke and giving right-wing terrorists the cover to attack.
Once you've gone past the opening page on whitehouse.gov with the opening video and then still pictures and, of course, the administration page with color pictures of him and JD Vance, Melania and Usha, the whole website after that is black. White information pages with black text, and the only color on those pages is the teeny tiny American flag above the White House at the top of the page.
Whitehouse.gov is described as a work in progress by the Trump administration. They had 3 months to get it ready. So do they now need a hundred days to make it work? Is it just like ending the war in Ukraine is going to take a hundred days?
What about Trump's first 100 days in office? Will we survive it? If the website is any indication, he's just winging it every day. Or is it rambling and weaving? So far, he's found a way to alienate as many people as possible.
He's censoring government websites and preventing access to abortion, reproductive rights information, and DEI.
Trump thinks he can erase history and people's rights, but he's wrong. We'll fight for our rights and not allow history to be rewritten. Many think he's already committed impeachmable offenses with the blanket Jan.6th pardons and the attack on the 14th Amendment's guarantee of birthright citizenship.
We can add censorship of the First Amendment and the violation of the right to information to that growing list of Constitutional infractions.
Days into the administration, and it's already too fast to follow all the changes. More crimes to come.
