Musings for Friday - To Watch, Or Not to Watch? These Are The Questions. (With poll) [1]

For me, with very few exceptions, the answer is no. I’ve stopped watching almost all corporate media news. I refuse to watch any news that doesn’t caveat any news from the White House or the GOP controlled Congress. I’ll not show up in their TV ratings. For now. I’m watching ESPN’s Get Up.
Blue Sky and Threads for the most part. But even there, they are not immune from some trying desperately to spread propaganda. Many that moved to Threads from Xitter have migrated to Blue Sky due to Zuck Boy’s knee bending. Others have refused to be “run off” of another platform. Others just don’t want to deal with the invasion of Trumpers moving into Threads. (Remember, blocking or muting can be your friend.)
Blue Sky has some work to do to make it perform as people were used to what Twitter was before it became Xitter. Most of us forget how Twitter was back in 2008-2010ish. It took a while to become the tool we knew in 2020. Meanwhile, we still have our refuge here on DK to help us keep up with the darkness trying to engulf us.
Although I had grown disappointed in Rachel Maddow (IMHO) caving to MSNBC’s lack of pushing back hard on DJT, I must say that her first show’s of DJT’s first 100 Days have been closer to what we thought we were going to get from her when we helped push MSNBC to hire her full-time, back in the day.
