Fighting Fascism with The Halfcott [1]

We Americans hold one ace up our sleeves: the power of the purse. The billionaires that would be our overlords need our money and our eyeballs to satiate their bottomless need for greed.

At the same time, they have us by the shorthairs. Amazon, Facebook, Instagram and Google are so interwoven into our lives that it would be difficult if not impossible to go cold turkey. For me, Amazon is the hard one to eliminate, yours may vary.

Here’s what I’m doing… I am cutting by half or more my usage, screentime and spending among those that are enabling Trump. Anything associated with Elon Musk is just 100% dead to me and I suggest, particularly after his Nazi salute, should be to you.

We Democrats, Progressives and other non-fascist Americans need to make clear that throwing in with the fascists is bad for business. Knocking even 10% off of U.S. revenue would get their attention, 20% would truly damage companies associated with Musk, Bezos and Zuckerberg.
