PMs Are Down, Not Sure How Widely: Wait, Looks Fixed Now! [1]

Update: so a couple folks have messaged me and my replies went through instantly!
So I tried starting a new thread to one of them, using their profile to launch from, which was the thing that was failing most dismally.
IT WORKED.
Now I do have a talent for noticing a problem just as it’s about to be fixed, and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if the fixin’ was going on as I was writing this diary.
Anyway, crisis maybe over/averted for now. I will leave this up just in case things get weird again, and thanks everyone for your patience and for reaching out to help me check things.

Very short diary. PMs are down, apparently. As far as I know this started yesterday.
Can’t message someone using the “send message” button on their profile, can’t message anyone using the message doodads on my own.
I’m on Firefox and had a recent MS update pushed through. Not sure if other browsers have same problem. Wish I was good enough geekwise to just use Linux but I’m not.
Anyway, to the people I was trying to reply to [or apologize to for not seeing a really important comment til way too late] — you haven’t heard from me because of this. I’ve tried all the tricks I know, like using preview first. Not working.
I am very sorry for the radio silence.
Edit in: when I went back to see when this might have started I discovered that the most important one actually did get through. But between 1/19 and this morning, I haven’t seen any incoming messages, so if anyone tried to send me anything then and it seemed to fail, yeah it did.
I’m leaving this up just in case. The successful message was sent using the message doodads on my own profile.
