and he’s prepared to do something about it.
Rep. Andy Ogles, R-Tenn., appears to be completely fascinated with useless legislation. He’s introduced a bill to amend the 22nd Amendment so that Trump can have a 3rd term, in order to “sustain the bold leadership our nation so desperately needs.” My irony meter just broke.

‘‘No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.’’ Source:

It's pure grandstanding, of course, because as Congress now stands he couldn’t possibly get 2/3 of both houses (could he? Someone, please, tell me I’m right), and Trump will have had a stroke by the time ¾ of the state legislatures could vote on it, much less ratify it.
Rep. Ogles’ recent spectacular successes include the “Liberty in Laundry Act,” which was not prompted by concerns about people preventing their stray socks from forming mismatched pairs and/or achieving Nirvana in the form of lint. Which would at least have a plausible basis in reality, but No. Per Rep. Ogles’ website, “This legislation bars Biden’s Department of Energy from establishing costly energy conservation standards on clothes washers.” Oh, of course, I want to waste as much water and electricity as possible when doing laundry. Or maybe he just figures I should be doing it by hand.
