Gov. “Whiteboots” DeSantis was mightily pissed that Floridians were able to put abortion and marijuana on the ballot in 2024. The guvnor was so pissed that he illegally appropriated millions of state taxpayers money to fund an illegal advertising campaign against the measures. And even though the voters barely missed making the supermajority vote needed to enact the measures, the guvnor was STILL so pissed that he is now throwing a hissy fit and demanding that the state legislature make it impossible for Florida voters to ever again put something on the ballot that he might not like, see below article:

Pretty soon its likely that other governors that don’t want to see pesky citizens trying to have nice things done, will take a page from this playbook and enact similar laws in their states. You KNOW they don’t like these citizen initiatives. Oh, and don’t think the compliant super-majority republican legislature in Florida won’t go along, they rubber stamp every thing he tells them to do.
Just one more way to stifle the voice of the people.
Meanwhile, the the homeowner’s insurance crisis in Florida continues to be ignored while the legislature concerns itself with bathrooms and book banning and re-naming the Gulf of Mexico.
