So it took a few days, but I finally found a summary of the inauguration worth sharing. We Just Humiliated Trump… With PUPPIES!! www.meidasplus.com/…
Hi Meidas Mighty. I’ll keep this short. You did it! Our live stream of puppies and kittens for the Puppy and Kitten Inauguration was one of the most-watched streams at the same time as the actual inauguration. We also raised over $80,000 for the Humane Society to help with their critical work following the wildfires in Los Angeles. I got so many messages attacking us for “not showing respect.” Sorry, not sorry. I don’t respect that sexual assaulter, felon, and grifter. Trump’s inauguration was a pathetic affair. Melania looked like she was attending a funeral in the Hunger Games, wearing a hat that looked like the roof of a Pizza Hut. Trump claimed Americans don’t really care about inflation. Trump rambled about there being only two genders, renaming the Gulf of Mexico, conquering Panama, and how Melania calls him “sir” when she’s angry—all his usual BS distraction tactics. The Meidas Mighty is not falling for Trump’s distraction tactics—his WMD (Weapon of Mass Distraction). Prices aren’t lower. There is no peace in Ukraine today. Housing is not more affordable. Trump is just an annoying, old, pathetic, shriveled orange turd.

Because you will probably never have to experience this yourself, just imagine what these officers must be feeling every time their phone beeps.
x Trump knew exactly what would happen when he released the January 6th attackers. This is a feature, not a bug.

x Chris Murphy: "Here's the message. If you beat a police officer in this country, you're going to jail for a long time, with one exception. You don't go to jail if you beat the hell out of a police officer in service of Donald Trump ... it put Democrats' lives in jeopardy in particular."

The problem(s) with Trump's executive order on disclosing ‘sensitive’ information. www.msnbc.com/...
By the reasoning of the president's new executive order, Donald Trump should probably take away his own security clearance. Just hours after his presidential inauguration, Donald Trump issued a flurry of executive orders, including one intended to “hold former government officials accountable for ... improper disclosure of sensitive governmental information.” As the document explained, part of the goal of the order was to revoke the security clearances of 51 former intelligence officials who believed the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop could’ve been Russian disinformation. Or put another way, the new president, on his first day back in the White House, was predictably eager to settle some old scores. ✂️ But even if we were to put this aside, there’s a related problem: If anyone in the United States should avoid picking a fight over “improper disclosure of sensitive governmental information,” it’s the newly inaugurated president. In case anyone’s forgotten, it was just a couple of years ago when Trump was criminally indicted for bringing classified documents to his glorified country club and ignoring a federal subpoena to give them back. According to the indictment, the Republican kept sensitive documents that included information “regarding defense and weapons capabilities of both the United States and foreign countries; United States nuclear programs; potential vulnerabilities of the United States and its allies to military attack; and plans for possible retaliation in response to a foreign attack.”

24 Democratic states and cities sue over Trump’s bid to end birthright citizenship. www.msn.com/…
Two dozen Democratic-led states and cities are challenging President Donald Trump’s bid to end birthright citizenship in court, a major constitutional challenge to one of the White House’s signature policies. The lawsuits allege that a Trump executive order signed Monday violates the 14th Amendment of the Constitution, which gives a constitutional right of citizenship to all children born in the United States. "Despite a President’s broad powers to set immigration policy, however, the Citizenship Stripping Order falls far outside the legal bounds of the President’s authority,” states a lawsuit from 18 states, Washington, DC, and San Francisco. The case could end up becoming the first major Supreme Court showdown for Trump’s second-term agenda. The 18 states filed in a Massachusetts federal court, which means any appeal of a ruling from that court will come up through the First US Circuit Court of Appeals, where all the judges are Democratic appointees. The Supreme Court has upheld birthright citizenship in the past and there is also a federal law passed by Congress, predating the 14th Amendment’s 1868 ratification, establishing that children born on US soil are entitled to citizenship.

In other news. Democratic Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson launches bid for governor. apnews.com/…
LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan’s Democratic secretary of state announced Wednesday that she is running to succeed Gretchen Whitmer as governor in 2026, as the party tries to find its footing after November’s significant losses in the battleground state. Jocelyn Benson served as the state’s chief elections administrator in the 2020 and 2024 elections and is the first well-known candidate to enter the fray as a Democrat. She will have to appeal to voters seemingly disillusioned with Democrats who cast votes in November for President Donald Trump. “We’ll work to continue delivering and not just listening,” Benson said in an interview with The Associated Press. “Talking about economics and how to save people time and money.” Whitmer, whose own statewide wins mirror Benson’s in 2018 and 2022, is term limited and has said she does not plan to endorse anyone in the race to be her successor.
