Trump's Rotund(a) Inauguration Speech Dissected [1]

I shouldn't even dignify it by calling it a speech. It was just another of Trump's "things are going to be so great with me in power," diatribes. He also laid out the bad news for those that refuse to bow down to him.

His first words set the stage:

"From this day forward, our country will flourish and be respected again."

The country has already been flourishing in your absence, you idiot, and we were respected until you started opening your mouth.

"The scales of justice will be rebalanced."

What you mean is that you're going to put your thumb on one side of the scale so it goes in the direction of your billionaire buddies and Republican toadies.

Then he has the gall to say that the weaponization of the Justice Department and the government will end.

What he means is he's going to re-weaponize it and take over the Department of Justice and use the government to persecute everybody that he thinks persecuted him. That's why Biden had to pardon a bunch of people at the last moment that he shouldn't have had to.

"As we gather today, our government faces a crisis of trust."

At least on one point, he got that right. By now, nobody in their right mind should trust you at all. The government has been doing just fine without you. Please don't muck it up.

"For many years, a radical corrupt establishment has extracted power and wealth from our citizens, while the pillars of our society lay broken and seemingly in complete disrepair."

Biden is sitting there right behind him, and Trump has the audacity to call him radical and corrupt. Again, it's this failing nation garbage, and only I can fix it.

"We now have a government that can not even manage a simple crisis at home."

I think he's taking a cheap shot at the fires in California. If it was simple, it would have been taken care of. Every single firefighter who knows anything said that nobody could have stopped the conflagration that happened. Not even with infinite resources and water. Then, he finally got around to attacking immigrants.

"... protection from dangerous criminals, many from prisons and mental institutions that have illegally entered our country from around the world."

We need protection from you, Donald. We finally got to the first, bald-faced, outright, and stupid lie. Not that the ones before weren't lies. This is just the one you keep repeating to create fear. You're the dangerous criminal.

Then he gets to the California fires directly.

"... even affecting some of the wealthiest and powerful individuals in our country..."

Sure, Donald. You only care about the wealthy and powerful. You don't talk at all about the poor or homeless. The wealthy can afford to rebuild, they can't.

"And we have an education system that teaches our children to be ashamed of themselves."

There you go, critical race theory without saying it directly. Sure, you shouldn't teach white kids about slavery, it might make them feel bad. A much smarter person than you said, the truth shall make you free.

"My recent election is a mandate to completely and totally reverse a horrible betrayal."

I didn't watch the video of it, I'm just working from a transcript. But I hope that people didn't get up and clap at this. Trump still doesn't know the definition of the word mandate.

"From this moment on, America's decline is over."

Right now, America is at its highest point in decades. The decline will come under you. It will take little time for you to throw America under the bus.

"... we will immediately restore the integrity, competency, and the loyalty of America's government."

I was just waiting for that Nazi loyalty oath that you've been requiring from all your job seekers. Here comes the Fourth Reich.

"Those who wish to stop our cause have tried to take my freedom. And indeed, to take my life."

Here we go, he set the stage to go and attack Democrats. They were to blame for the assassination attempts. He never realizes how much hate he has generated and created the situation himself.

"...my life was saved for a reason. I was saved by God to make America great again."

Putting "the day God intervened" at the top of his second edition of the made in China Bible wasn't enough for him. God is now MAGA. How disgusting.

"For American citizens, January 20th 2025 is Liberation Day."

Just get ready to march into those showers, which are gas chambers, for those that don't follow his goosestep.

Then he goes on to say the hit that he had the bigliest election and took all those seven swing states. And then he has the temerity to mention Martin Luther King Jr.

"...In his honor, we will strive together to make his dream a reality."

Guess you won't be talking about critical race theory anymore, huh? You won't talk about shooting protesters in the leg when they think you've taken their liberties away?

Then he goes on and on about illegal immigration and how he's going to have so many executive orders to take care of all of that. Reinstitute remain in Mexico, and eliminate catch and release. He says he'll send troops to the southern border. Well, he's just admitted he's going to break the law.

Then he says how he's going to use the Alien Enemies Act of 1798. It will automatically get rid of criminal networks and foreign gangs. He says he's going to use state and federal law enforcement to make it happen. States rights, Donald. Don't step on them.

Inflation is such that he is going to declare a national emergency to allow oil companies to drill, baby, drill. He actually said drill, baby, drill.

"...liquid gold under our feet..." To Donald, everything that generates money is gold.

"We will end the green New Deal and we will revoke the electrical vehicle mandate..."

There you go, let's pollute the world more with fossil fuels so we can have even bigger fires in California. You just don't understand anything, do you, Mr. Trump?

"Instead of taxing our citizens to enrich other countries, we will tariff and tax foreign countries to enrich our citizens."

Nobody used that duct tape to hold Donald down in a chair so somebody could tell him how tariffs work, and how much it'll cost the economy, not help it.

I was hoping he was joking. But he's not. He actually announced the creation of the External Revenue Service.

"After years and years of illegal and unconstitutional Federal efforts to restrict free expression, I will also sign an executive order to immediately stop all government censorship and bring back free speech to America."

No, we can't have that fact checking. We can't have nasty reporters asking poignant questions that need to be answered. Just the softball questions you want. And we can't have moderators and removal of hate speech, racist speech, and right wing calls to violence.

"This week, I will also end the government policy of trying to socially engineer race and gender into every aspect of public and private life."

LGBTQ+ people beware. If you thought he was just kidding during his campaign, now you've heard him say it to the nation. You're suddenly second class citizens.

"We will forge a society that is color blind and merit based."

Only white folks get the jobs, especially the good paying ones. Colleges won't be allowed to take race into account ever. DEI is outlawed.

"As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female."

Like I said, those that are different will be persecuted. Those that try to help them will be prosecuted.

Then he takes credit for the ceasefire in the Middle East and the return of hostages.

And he's following through on the other crazy stuff. Gulf of Mexico will be renamed Gulf of America. He's going to restore racist Confederate names to monuments, lands, mountains and anything else you can think of.

The Panama canal. It just had to come up. The 38,000 American lives that were lost, when it was a fraction of that. He didn't have anybody fact check his speech. Probably told them all to go to hell. He throws down the gauntlet. China is operating the Panama Canal and we're going to take it back.

"And we will pursue our manifest destiny into the stars, launching American astronauts to plant the Stars and Stripes on the planet Mars."

Elon Musk obviously got to him. He's never talked about Mars before. And if he did it was the candy bar. If he wants America first, how come it's already turned into Mars first? That does absolutely nothing for the people living on this planet that is turning into a environment so out of whack we won't be able to grow food anymore.

He talks about American colonization and taming the wild west. Ending slavery and rescuing others from tyranny. Lifted millions from poverty. I doubt you care about the poor at all. We all know that the billionaires have you in their pocket.

And then he pats himself on the back for his great political comeback.

"In recent years, our nation has suffered greatly."

No, Donald. The suffering is about to start, caused by you.

"America will be respected again, and admired again, including by people of religion, faith, and goodwill."

We currently are respected. The world laughs at you and is afraid of you at the same time. Not for your strength but for your stupidity in the needless conflicts you are creating already.

"From this day on, the United States will be a free, sovereign and independent nation... because we are Americans. The future is ours, and our golden age has begun.

We already are all those things. You're going to turn America into a kleptocracy for you and all of your grifter friends.

Then he finishes it, as any president would, with God bless America.

Golden age with liquid gold and freedom of speech, no other genders allowed, no immigrants allowed, no weaponization allowed, wealth by the External Revenue Service, take back the Panama Canal, no critical race theory or teaching about slavery, God is MAGA, and we're going to Mars while the planet burns.

I'm glad I didn't watch it because I would be so upset at the times Trump would get applause and standing applause. He didn't do any adlibs as far as I can tell. That's got to be a first.

Next is the speech at the Capital One Arena, and the short speeches at all three inaugural balls. I'll look for transcripts of those, too.

He did enough damage with this speech to warn our allies and enemies, real or imagined, of what's to come.
