Think "Nonlinear income", not "Nationalization" [1]

It bothers me that the billionaires and mega-millionaires are buying all of the social media and news media and businesses and housing and land and governments… They outbid me on everything, and then they outbid each other, driving the prices beyond contemplation. When they outbid each other for space ships and social media and political races, we do not view that as inflation, but it really is. Rising income inequality leads the higher incomes to drive all prices beyond the reach of lower incomes, and mega-millionaires have lower incomes than billionaires... This is the crux of adverse inflation, and the crux of oligarchy.

Robert Reich has suggested that we nationalize the businesses that get too big, but nationalization only fixes one company. It does not prevent oligarchy. To prevent oligarchy, we must understand what allows it.

Few people know what is linear vs nonlinear income, but that is what we need to know in order to dismantle oligarchy. Linear income is income based on an item that you produce, how long it takes you to produce it, or some fixed compensation. When we visualize the tit-for-tat trading of free market capitalism, we are visualizing trading between people with linear income.

Billionaires, mega-millionaires, and oligarchs receive nonlinear income. Nonlinear income is a construct of complex law. It is dividends, royalties, commissions, etc where income results from a customer base. So if you have millions of customers, you get millions of dollars. Nonlinear income is what Americans dream about, so it is hard for us to understand that it is what leads to rising income inequality and inflation and billionaires, mega-millionaires, and oligarchs.
