The M7B1 armored gun platform has a 105mm howitzer operated by a seven-person crew. In 1942, the first M7B1s went into combat in North Africa with British units who nicknamed it Priest (the British gave self-propelled artillery vehicles ecclesiastical names.)

The Flying Heritage and Combat Armor Museum in Everett, Washington has an American Locomotive M7B1 Priest.
