Retort to Poor Bernie's Frustration with Dem's Losing the Working Class [1]

Bernie is wrong. Yes, we should be moving to be more Progressive, but the Biden admin did quite an admirable job pulling us out of the first trump fiasco and implementing Progressive policies, legislation and actual action that is making America work again, with good paying union jobs and infrastructure and renewable energy. Where in the hell has Bernie been the last four years? This is not about policy and abandoning the working class. This is about the very wealthy controlling the narrative. Misinformation and disinformation has distorted the concept of reality. It is 1984 in real life. There is no climate change. Vaccines kill people. Immigrants are killing our economy. Unions are destroying our way of life. Trans people are raping our children. The moon landing never happened, chemtrails, flat earth, religion is good, science is bad. The internet, which began as a way for enlightened and Progressive discourse and communication and had so much initial potential to help us a global resource, has devolved into a right wing, capitalist, oligarchic, misleading meme filled, AI bot infested cesspool. This will continue until we can wrest the bullhorn away from the liars and con men. But there is one final issue that has allowed this to happen, and that is the failure of our education system. We failed to support teachers and to invest in our children’s future. Now those children have grown up to be the millions of young white men who feel they are being oppressed through lies and disinformation. Now, we literally have a nation where roughly one half of the populace can’t read above a 6th grade level, believe in all kinds of nonsensical lies and conspiracy theories, reject science and embrace religion, and they vote. They vote like a single mindset. They vote like a cult. Remember when the theory was, in the next couple of decades, by the sheer power of demographics, Progressive policies would flourish in the future? Now the youth, minorities, women… they have all made choices that harm their self interests. That is not the fault of Biden’s or Progressive policies. That is stupidity and the willful ignorance of the American people. I may be making an unpopular statement here, but the Progressives did not leave the American people… the American people have left base reality. Now we are all in the ‘finding out’ phase of our failures and shortcomings.
