Standing against Shock and Awe

Facing the Whirlwind and Standing Against the Tide

The U.S. public has been promised shock and awe in the form of 100 or more Presidential directives. The claim is that the result of these directives will turn our society on its head and solve every problem caused by a weak society that ignores the right of might. Specifically, those who think that equal protection under law and equal opportunities will lead to a society that is fair and just are just weaklings afraid to exert manly power. Such weaklings cling to the belief that doing unto others as should be done to them is weak , un-manly and a loosing proposition.

This is the beginning of actions by a combination of an authoritarian and oligarchs who will test our resilience and strength. These tomes are filled with fear, uncertainty, and doubt, challenging our very core.

It starts with fear.

I must not fear.

Fear is the mind-killer.

Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.

I will face my fear.

I will permit it to pass over me and through me.

And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

FUD: Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt

Fear is an instinctive response to perceived threats. It is a primal emotion that triggers our fight-or-flight mechanism, preparing us to face danger. However, fear can also be paralyzing, preventing us from taking necessary actions. Uncertainty, on the other hand, arises from the unknown. It is the ambiguity of not knowing what lies ahead that often causes anxiety and hesitation. Doubt is the internal conflict that questions our abilities and decisions, leading to self-doubt and lack of confidence.

Fear is not inherently negative. It can serve as a protective mechanism, alerting us to potential dangers. However, when fear becomes overwhelming, it can hinder our progress and stifle our potential. The future is always unknown, and the unpredictability of events can cause stress and anxiety. Giving in to fear and uncertainty can engender doubt about what to do and what should be done. This can cause a deer-in-the-headlights reaction that freezes us into inaction.

Shock and Awe

Shock and awe are powerful emotional responses to unexpected events or overwhelming circumstances. They can leave us feeling stunned, disoriented, and powerless. However, these moments also present opportunities for growth and transformation. By understanding the nature of shock and awe, we can develop strategies to cope and emerge stronger.

Recite the Litany Against Fear and take a deep breath.

Facing the Whirlwind

The whirlwind represents the chaotic and turbulent times in our lives. It is the storm that threatens to uproot our stability and disrupt our sense of normalcy. Facing the whirlwind requires resilience, determination, and a strategic approach.

Standing Against the Tide

Standing against the tide symbolizes the courage to oppose overwhelming forces and stay true to our values. It is about maintaining integrity, perseverance, and a steadfast commitment to our principles, even in the face of adversity.

The basic idea in the totalitarian playbook is to cause the population to pre-capitulate. Give up because resistance is futile and you are powerless to do anything against the almost innumerable attacks launched almost simultaneously. This is the plan: engender: fear, uncertainty, and doubt plus moments of shock and awe.

Facing the whirlwind and standing against the tide require resilience, strategic planning, integrity, and perseverance.

Remember “Fear is the mind killer”.

Resist.
