My first diary ever and so sorry it’s not much of a “diary”. It’s obscene that Leonard Peltier is still in prison. I tried to call the White House comment line one last time to beg the outgoing president to do the right thing. The comment line is shut down and there is no longer an email address for comments. I called the switchboard and was told that they can’t take a message. But the operator suggested that I try next week when the new administration comes in. My incredulity was not well-received by the operator, but I wasn’t abusive, just frustrated that it’s come to this. I guess we’ll just have to wait until the new administration frees him as a publicity stunt with lots of fanfare and blather about how the Dems are the real racists. What is the justification? Someone please help me understand how this is still not possible. I have a personal CT but it adds nothing so I will refrain from speculation. We should not wonder why our party and, in truth, our nation, is lost.
