White to move and mate in two #614 - Comet C/2024 (ATLAS) [1]

Comet C/2024 G3 (ATLAS) reached perihelion yesterday Jan 13 around 10:17 UTC. The Comet is visiting the Sun after about 135,000 years. It is a bright comet at magnitude -3.6, but because of its proximity to the Sun and its NS trajectory, it is difficult to observe from the northern hemisphere. Observers in the southern hemisphere will get a glimpse of it in a few days although the comet will continue to dim.
There aren’t many good looking images of the comet except for this spectacular one taken by astronaut Don Pettit from the ISS on Jan 11.
Here is an image of the Sun's corona taken by the NASA/ESA SOHO spacecraft with Comet C/2024 G3 (ATLAS) in the view, about 13 hours after perihelion.
Now let’s gaze at and solve today’s puzzle composed in 1859 by noted noted American chess composer Theodore Morris Brown (1837 –1875). He was the author of the book Book of Chess Problems. P.S.
